Some articles will tell you that the best way to get healthy hair is to wash it less often and step away from the styling tools.  Desert Diva's House of Style in Hollywood!

 New York Best Selling Author Stephenie Meyer looked stunning with her long marcel waves and porcelain make-up, like a 1920's movie starlett stepping straight out of an old Hollywood classic.   It took me approximately 2 hrs to do her hair and make-up before the big event. (That didn't come without a little planning ahead of time on my behalf.) I started around 1 p.m. and finished at about 3 p.m. with her.  As you can see she looked absolutely gorgeous.  Just incase your wondering, I used PureOlogy Shampoo and Conditioner, Aquage styling products in the hair, Mirabella Mineral Cosmetics and of course, Redken Color as my tools of choice to complete my masterpiece. Time was growing short as we said our good bys and good lucks to one another.  Stephenie picked up a few personal items to carry with her and wisked herself away to dress in her beautiful evening gown and rode off into the "TWILIGHT" in a white Hummer stretch limo. 

  

Earlier that day I welcomed the girls into the little Swarga I had planned in our suite at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons on Wilshire and Rodeo Dr. in the heart of Hollywood.  (Yes, this is where they filmed Pretty Woman.) My friend and fellow professional Cathy Methier and myself set about our work as we had 8 others of Stephenie's family and close friends also attending the premiere that evening. Cutting, highlighting, coloring, waxing eyebrows, polishing nails and of course beautiful hair and make-up were top priority for this afternoon event.  The gathering included a whole lot of fun and the mood in the suite was of excitement, laughter and joy.

 
The suite was quite large and we were able to set up stations throughout.  As the girls rotated thru the nails, hair and make-up, they sipped on sparkling cider, ate chocolate covered apples and strawberries and enjoyed each others company.   Things started wrapping up around 5 p.m. as the clock ticked down to the evenings "Main Attraction".  We finished up, helping the girls gather up some of their belongings and sent them out my door to their rooms to dress.  About 30 minutes later, we all met downstairs in the lobby. The excitment grew like wind thru a forest fire while we chatted amoungst ourselves, taking pictures of one another and awaited the chariot.
I won't give away any spoilers but the movie of course, was wonderful.  What can I say, I am partial and I have read the book and I thought they followed the book the best a movie possibly can.  Of course their is no substitute for the book,  so if you haven't yet read it may I suggest you do.  You won't be disappointed.
     
Later in the evening after the premiere, Steph's friends looked so hot that they were chased by the papparazzi  because they thought they were chasing stars.   In my opinion they were, whether they realized it or not.  Everyone looked stunning!!!!  All the girls were so gracious and excited and everyone received Royal Treatment. 
 What a day and what an evening to remember for all who participated and attended.
